Leaf EP is Ham of Sky's debut album.
Although a music video for the first song from that album was released 9th June 2017, the EP saw the light of day on 24th March 2018. It was launched only via bandcamp preceded by another music video 'Fall of the Leaf', but exactly a year after it was finally re released properly. Now Leaf EP can be found on all your favourite streaming platforms.
It is a concept album where each song was written and recorded in an order that can be found on the record.
The opening track 'Don't Let the Leaf Fall' represents a moment of realisation that there were some unwanted feelings fiddling with my brain and I shouldn't let them take control.
'Fall of the Leaf' is about that moment when I couldn't resist any longer and let the emotion take over. It is the darkest moment of our story.
'A Sigh of Relief', which is the chillest, most appealing song, represents a day after the big breakdown.
The last song on the record 'Leave the Fallen Leaves' has the most uplifting meaning as it encourages to forget about the bad experiences from the past and move on with your life.
I'm really proud of how this EP turned out and how the concept behind it has gotten introduced.
