Bazie is Ham of Sky's first cover song.
Magda Kuraś, the original songwriter, released this song twice:
- single version in collaboration with Maciej Świniarski (released on 8th June 2020),
- album version (released on 30th December 2020).
Ham of Sky's interpretation is based more on the album vertion although both of the releases are fairly similar.
This whole journey started as an ear training exercise (trying to figure out the original melody), later to be arranged and recorded in Damian Hamowski's home studio. Even though it is an instrumental song at its' core, there are additional vocals recorded by Agnieszka Wójcik and Sylwia Lewicka, who have also helped with the music video.
I'm really proud of how this cover turned out.
